Kitchens can look clean while hiding months of grease and grime. When we deep clean a kitchen, these are the areas that make the biggest difference — and the ones most often missed.
The extractor hood
Cooking fumes carry grease upwards, where it settles on the hood, the filter and the wall behind. Over time it turns sticky, then hard. We degrease the hood inside and out and clean the surrounding surfaces.
The hob and surrounds
It’s not just the hob surface — it’s the edges, the controls, the gap between the hob and the worktop, and the splashback behind it. Grease collects in every seam.
Cupboard doors and handles
Doors near the cooker pick up a fine film of grease that attracts dust. Handles are one of the most-touched surfaces in the house. Both get degreased and wiped.
Tops of units and appliances
Out of sight, out of mind — the tops of wall units, the fridge and the microwave are prime spots for greasy dust.
The sink and taps
In hard-water areas like Surrey and Sussex, limescale builds up around taps and the plughole. We descale and polish so they look like new.
Inside the oven
Oven cleaning is one of the most time-consuming jobs in any kitchen. It’s available as a £50 add-on to our deep cleans, and included as standard in every end of tenancy clean.
